Who we are

Our network Lingua e Literatura Inglesa e Identidade (English Language and Literature and Indentity) is funded by the Galician Government (Xunta de Galicia) and based in the three Galician Universities: Universidade da Coruña (UDC), Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) and Universidade de Vigo (UVigo). It is the UDC which coordinates the network at the moment, which brings together 6 research groups:

These groups started working as a coordinated research team in 2007, when the network first received funding from the Xunta de Galicia. It has continued its research activities until now, encouraging collaboration between the groups that comprise it. Its members also work with different groups both at national and international levels. We have links with a variety of universities and institutions from around the world, including the following universities: New School (New York), University of London (UK), University Adam Mickievicz (Poland), University of Gdansk (Poland),  University of Porto (Portugal), University of Rennes (France), Dublin City University (Ireland), Queen’s University, Belfast (Ireland), University of Coimbra (Portugal), University of Galway (Ireland), University of KU Leuven (Belgium), the International James Joyce Foundation or The University of Tulsa (USA).

At a national level, our network also collaborates with colleagues at universities such as The University of Deusto, The University of Málaga, The Autonomous University of Barcelona, The University of Huelva, Jaume I University, The University of La Laguna, The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, The University of Salamanca and The University of Valencia.

Network members have expertise in the following fields: discourse analysis, corpus linguistics with a multidimensional analysis approach, gender studies, literary networks, education, literature and cultural studies. The Faculties involved are:
